Grade 5/6 update

Tuesday, November 6th, 2012

October was a fantastic month in grade 5/6! As a class we have enjoyed learning about descriptive writing, especially getting the chance to write a very descriptive paragraph about Pastor Kranz! In grade 5 we had the opportunity to begin creating two huge murals of Ancient Greece, and in grade 6 we have been trying our hands at making small plains teepees as well as some West Coast style artwork. We also had the privilege of attending a presentation at the Legion, where students got to get up close with items from the war, hear veterans share stories, and ask questions.

We added one member to our class community this month. Can you guess who? Here are some hints: he has a temper, he is the shortest member of the class, he only eats three times a week, and he spends the weekend at the school. You guessed it – Skittles, the Betta fish, is the newest addition to the 5/6 room. Feel free to stop in and meet him sometime!
