Matt RobinsonMatthew Robinson, Headmaster

I am blessed to be a part of the Foundation team. I treasure the opportunity to lead as a servant every day, and consider it a privilege to foster Christ-like characteristics in each student.

I am committed to education on multiple levels.  As Headmaster, I pour myself into leadership of the community we call Foundation.  I believe it is critical that we invest in the future of our children and our community. I have also spent considerable time in Ecuador and India where my wife and I have engaged in community development projects.

I enjoy my role as a mentor, teacher, coach and Headmaster.

Matthew is married and has three children of his own. His family is active in their church where he serves as an elder, and also uses his gifts in service.

Laurie GrayLaurie Gray, Finance Manager

With more than 30 years experience of bookkeeping and small business, I am delighted to be the Finance Manager at Foundation. I love sharing the miraculous stories of God’s hand at work since the inception of Foundation. It is such a blessing to see first hand the joy of Christian Education in action!

Laurie is married and has 6 grandchildren which keep her very busy. She is active in her church and sings in the choir.

Shannon LeiboldShannon Leibold, Office Administrator

I am delighted to be a part of the Foundation Team and to serve the broader Foundation Family from the office. With over 13 years of administrative experience in a ministry setting, I believe the behind-the-scenes work is critical to the success of any organization. My children attend this school, and my husband and I have been so grateful for the academic and spiritual impact Foundation has had on their lives.

Shannon loves writing and teaching Bible study curriculum, which she has an opportunity to do in her local church. She also enjoys camping, digital scrapbooking, going for hikes, and spending time with her family.

Kimberly Kerr-BottKimberly Kerr-Bott, Teacher
Vice Principal – Academics

I love teaching. I am very pleased that Foundation encourages global studies and building character through visual art. I love working with grade 3 and 4 students and believe this is a special time in the lives of children. Sharing my love of art in the context of Biblical creation is an immense blessing. Leading children in learning to express themselves in art, music and drama is an awesome experience for me and for my students.

Kimberly teaches grade 3 and 4 and is one of the creative minds behind our musicals and dramas.

Doreen LachanceDoreen Lachance, Teacher

For 13 years I served in communities overseas. As a principal and divisional principal in Haiti, Fiji and Nepal, I learned many leadership skills and the importance of education. I count it an honour and a privilege to share my personal journey with my students, giving them an ever widening circle of experience that includes a global perspective.

Doreen teaches grades 1 and 2. In her spare time, Doreen enjoys reading, music and further discovery of cross-cultural experiences.

Beth RobinsonBethany Robinson, Teacher

I graduated from Trent University with a degree in International Development and Education.  I love ministry and development work and have been blessed with amazing opportunities abroad as well as in Canada. I have worked in drop in centers and a Compassion funded school in Ecuador. I have also had the wonderful opportunity to work for Upper Grand District school board. However, when a job opened up at Foundation I felt a deep stirring from God to move my ministry here. I am continually grateful for the amazing opportunities I get each day to pray with and for my students, mentoring and encouraging them in their journeys with God. I have loved joining an amazing team that creates a welcoming and loving community with exceptional education. Foundation is a special place. I love hanging out with my three sweet kids and wonderful husband. I like reading, being with friends and family and spending time travelling and exploring this amazing world God has given us.

Kristen FreemanKristen Freeman, Educational Assistant

I am so excited to be a part of the team here at Foundation Christian School as the Educational Assistant. I graduated in 2014 from the 2 year  Educational Assistant Program at Fleming College and have been working as an EA for the Waterloo Regional District School Board for the past two years. Before that I volunteered a total of 3 years in a variety of different schools in Alberta, Nunavut, Peterborough and Waterloo. I love helping children achieve that “lightbulb” moment when things  start to click. I look forward to working along side the rest of the Foundation staff to help each child achieve their goals in a positive way. In my spare time I love to be active in whatever way I can whether it’s going for a run, zumba, soccer, volleyball or just going for a walk outside. I love spending time with my family and friends as well as baking.  Any chance we get, you will find my husband and me outside exploring the great outdoors.
